Description/Communication Skills:
“Punctuality is a watchword of the ISTJ”
·         I do not think this is always true because I tend to be late to things even when I do not mean to. “Punctuality” is important to me but I do miss things or am late and do not really care most of the time, unless it is an important event or class.
“ISTJs often give the initial impression of being aloof and perhaps somewhat cold”
·         I find this very true of myself, because when I meet someone I do not open up to them right away. I would rather them think that I do not care than that I care too much. I also find it better to keep it to myself when I understand something that is going on than to share my thoughts.
“ISTJs are easily frustrated by the inconsistencies of others, especially when the second parties don't keep their commitments”
·         Because I am a committed person, in my relationships with others and in my work, I do not understand why others cannot be committed as well. I do not understand why people break their commitments and why they cannot be consistent in their work and relationships—people always tend to need something new.
“they usually keep their feelings to themselves unless they are asked. And when asked, they don't mince words. Truth wins out over tact”
·         I can be very blunt when asked my opinion on something, but I also will not share my opinion or feelings unless absolutely necessary (like for a grade) or when asked. I will not sugar coat what I think to spare feelings.
“An ISTJ’s everyday social circle is likely to be comprised of their close friends, relatives, and acquaintances”
·         I do not like being around people that I do not know, it makes me uncomfortable. I enjoy being around family and close friends the most, with time to myself.
Affirmation Solicitation:
1.)    Dependable
2.)    Humble
3.)    Intelligent
4.)    Ambitious
5.)    Honest
Christa has many positive traits that describe her personality. When it comes to dependability, I know that I can count on her to be here for me in any way I need. If I ever need anything, I know that I can count on Christa to help me. I also know that she would do this for others, and not just her best friend. Her humbleness and Intelligence go hand in hand. Christa is very smart in just about every sense of the word. She is book smart, but also intelligent when it comes to making the right decision and using common sense. This is a strong trait of hers and is not something to be taken lightly. Most importantly though, she is very humble with her abilities. Not many people are as smart as her or do as well as her in school, and I never see Christa flaunting or bragging about her skills. Christa is also very ambitious. If she decides she wants something, there is not much that can stop her from getting to it. Whether it’s an A on a test, a job opportunity, or helping a friend in need, Christa will find a way to accomplish what she has her heart set on. Finally, the trait I admire most in Christa, her honesty. If I ever need her opinion on something, I know that she will give me the answer that she truly feels. She won’t sugar coat things just for the sake of pleasing everybody. Also, she is not only honest with others, but she is honest with herself. Often times the friends we make (especially in highschool) can be fake or exaggerated. Christa has always been true to herself and has been honest with her own identity. Overall, I’m so grateful to have such a positive influence in my life. Christa truly is a great friend and a wonderful person in general.
